The Tea Ceremony is an early, crucial quest in Assassin's Creed: Shadow of the Shogun, requiring careful navigation of dialogue choices. This guide provides the answers needed to complete the Tea Ceremony successfully.
Your journey begins with a conversation with Imai Sokyu. You'll be presented with two options: "The tea ceremony is a spiritual experience" or "It's a place to make contacts." Either choice is acceptable; select whichever you prefer.
Next, you'll interact with three guests. The correct responses are as follows:
Guest/Prompt | Response |
---|---|
Otama | "I had a good teacher" or "I know the son well" |
Wakasa | "I’m new to Sakai" or "I didn’t say where I was from" |
Satoko | N/A |
Completing the ceremony | "Turn bowl right twice" |
Confront Otama or Wakasa | Wakasa |
Most dialogue choices have no significant consequences, except for the decision to confront Otama or Wakasa. Even minor errors during the ceremony itself result in minimal impact on the quest's outcome.
Choosing to confront Otama leads to a hunt, revealing her corruption but not her identity as the Golden Teppo. This triggers the "Defensive Position" quest, where Naoe then seeks Wakasa.
Confronting Wakasa, however, results in an invitation to her home, initiating the "Drive the Point Home" quest and continuing the story as intended.
