Crashlands 2 has landed on Android and various other platforms, and Butterscotch Shenanigans is back with this eagerly awaited sequel. The original Crashlands, released in 2016, was their first major hit and attracted millions of players worldwide.
You reprise your role as Flux Dabes, the same disgruntled space-trucker from the first game, who returns to the planet Woanope seeking respite after a long stint with the Bureau of Shipping.
Upon landing, a surprise explosion greets Flux, stranding them in a new, unfamiliar area, far from familiar faces, equipped only with a handful of gadgets and their quirky instincts to survive.
This time, Woanope feels much more vibrant and dynamic. You'll encounter a variety of creatures and explore strange biomes filled with unexpected encounters and opportunities, like luring a Trunkle into a booby-trapped field.
All characters you meet, aside from Flux, are either aliens or robots, and the game is packed with humor through the use of pun-filled and nonsensical item names, amplifying the comedic elements from the original.
Combat mechanics have been enhanced, and base-building has been expanded significantly. You can now construct tall walls, authentic roofs, and cozy nooks for crafting and farming, making your base more detailed and functional.
Building relationships with aliens unlocks new recipes and skills, emphasizing the importance of the friendship mechanic in your journey. Additionally, you can now raise pets by finding eggs, learning how to hatch them, nurturing them to maturity, and having them join you in combat.
In Crashlands 2, the initial explosion that stranded Flux turns out to be more than just misfortune. As you explore and interact with the local inhabitants, you uncover a deeper mystery and the forces at play behind it.
If you enjoyed the first Crashlands and are eager to dive into this new adventure, you can download the game from the Google Play Store.
