Finnish indie studio Kuuasema has unveiled Cthulu Keeper, a humorous strategy title drawing inspiration from the eerie mythos of H.P. Lovecraft and the classic dungeon management gameplay reminiscent of Bullfrog’s 1997 cult favorite, Dungeon Keeper. The game is currently in development for PC platforms.
In Cthulu Keeper, players take on the role of an aspiring cult leader looking to spread fear and chaos across the world. Set in the mysterious 1920s, you'll begin your descent into madness by constructing a secret underground lair. From there, you’ll delve into forbidden knowledge, unlock ancient texts, and summon terrifying creatures rooted in Lovecraftian lore.
As your influence grows, you'll expand your cult’s reach by recruiting followers, infiltrating society, and completing dark objectives. However, rival cults—and the ever-watchful authorities—won’t make things easy. When conflict arises, you’ll need to rely on devious traps, eldritch spells, and summoned horrors to defend your domain and maintain control.

“We’ve poured our hearts and dark souls into creating a unique and challenging experience that blends classic dungeon-keeping with the unsettling atmosphere of Lovecraft’s stories,” said Kimmo Kari, Chief Gaming Officer at Kuuasema.
If Cthulu Keeper sounds like your kind of madness, you can add it to your Steam wishlist now and stay updated on its release.
