Fortnite players eagerly awaited Cyberpunk 2077's arrival on the popular battle royale platform, a partnership many fans celebrated. While the crossover item set proved popular, the absence of the male version of protagonist V sparked speculation. Some fans theorized about CD Projekt Red's marketing strategies, but the explanation is far simpler.

Patrick Mills, Cyberpunk 2077's lore expert and the decision-maker for this crossover, offered a straightforward explanation. The bundle was designed for only two characters, one of which had to be Johnny Silverhand. This left no space for both male and female versions of V. With Johnny already male, selecting the female V was a logical choice, further influenced by Mills' personal preference.

Therefore, the omission of male V wasn't a deliberate decision, but a practical one. This marks Keanu Reeves' second Fortnite skin appearance, following the earlier inclusion of John Wick.
