"Daredevil: Born Again - Streaming Guide and Episode Schedule"

by Jonathan May 01,2025

In the mid-2010s, three seasons of Daredevil captivated audiences with a gritty portrayal of Hell's Kitchen, making it one of the best-reviewed Marvel series to date. The cancellation of Daredevil by Netflix in 2018 came as a shock to fans. Although Charlie Cox's Daredevil made cameo appearances in lighter MCU projects like She-Hulk and Spider-Man: No Way Home, the idea of a new solo series seemed unlikely. However, Marvel has brought the hero back to life with "Daredevil: Born Again," promising even more intense action and grit on Disney+.

If you're eager to dive into the new series, here's where you can stream "Daredevil: Born Again" and a complete look at the episode release schedule.

What Is Daredevil: Born Again About?

"Daredevil: Born Again" continues the story from the 2015 Daredevil series, with many characters and plot points carrying over. While its placement in the MCU timeline remains unclear, since the original series, Charlie Cox's Daredevil has featured prominently in "The Defenders," with smaller roles in "She-Hulk" and "Spider-Man: No Way Home." Daredevil's main adversary, Wilson Fisk, also appeared in the Disney+ series "Echo."

IGN recently explored Frank Miller's original "Born Again" comic arc, which inspired the new show's title, though the series won't be a direct adaptation. Here's Marvel's official synopsis for "Daredevil: Born Again":

Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened senses, fights for justice through his bustling law firm. Meanwhile, former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) pursues his political ambitions in New York. As their past identities resurface, both men are set on an inevitable collision course.

Will There Be a Season 2?

Originally planned as a 19-episode season, "Daredevil: Born Again" has been split into two parts for the streaming era. The first season comprises nine episodes, with the second season set to feature the remaining nine episodes of the original arc. There's no confirmed release date yet for the second season on Disney+.

What About the Rest of 'The Defenders'?

Daredevil was part of "The Defenders," which included one season following Daredevil, as well as the Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist TV shows. With Daredevil's revival, there's potential for other Defenders to return. Marvel's head of streaming, television, and animation has mentioned they're "exploring" this possibility in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
