Disco Elysium Mobile Launched: ZA/UM Targets TikTok Audience

by Scarlett Apr 18,2025

Following the exciting reveal of their new project, Project C4, ZA/UM has now announced a mobile version of their acclaimed game, Disco Elysium, exclusively for Android devices. Their goal is to introduce the game to new players and provide a convenient, on-the-go option for existing fans. To make this accessible, ZA/UM will offer the first two chapters of Disco Elysium for free on mobile. Players can then choose to make a one-time payment to unlock the full, ad-free experience.

ZA/UM emphasized their commitment to transparency, stating, “We want players to make an informed decision about their potential purchase.” The studio, which now includes both creators and custodians of the Disco Elysium IP, takes its responsibility seriously and believes this is reflected in the mobile adaptation they are developing.

Studio head Denis Havel shared that the mobile version of Disco Elysium aims to engage the TikTok audience by offering quick, compelling snippets of story, art, and audio, promising a new, immersive form of entertainment.

Alongside the announcement, ZA/UM released a debut trailer and screenshots showcasing new 360-degree scenes designed to immerse mobile users directly into the world of Revachol. The game also features brand new audio with full voiceover to enhance the character-driven experience.

This is a total re-imagination of the award-winning, gripping psychological RPG Disco Elysium and designed to completely cater to the habits of today’s mobile users. This story-rich adventure has been optimized for short play sessions, allowing players to dive in anytime, anyplace on their mobile devices.

Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described the mobile version as “what audiobooks wish they were,” crafted specifically for short, engaging play sessions.

Disco Elysium on mobile is set to launch on Google Android in the summer of 2025. It's important to note that while the studio name remains the same, many key contributors to the original game have since left ZA/UM. Some of these former members are now working on spiritual successors to Disco Elysium.
