After Yasuke hears rumors of "worse men" from his past being active in Japan, players will need to complete the Templar Hunt Objective Board as part of the Yasuke’s Past quests. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how and where to find every Templar target in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, beginning with Kimura Kei.

How to Find the Templar Kimura Kei in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Your first clue about Kimura Kei’s whereabouts comes from a ronin contact in Kii. You can find him in the central Nakahechi Route at the inn in Takahara Village. If you need to pinpoint his exact location, consider using Scouts. Look for a building marked with green flags next to a cherry blossom tree. Inside, you'll encounter a ronin dressed in Oda Clan attire. Speak with him, and he will direct you to find a recruiter named Kumabe Ujiie.

Where to Find Kumabe Ujiie

Kumabe Ujiie is located in northern Kii, specifically at a cemetery in Koyasan, northeast of Kongobuji Temple. You'll see him walking with an escort of ronin, but avoid engaging them. Approach Kumabe Ujiie and select the “I seek guidance” dialogue option. Follow him, and he will eventually reveal Kimura Kei’s location.

How and Where to Assassinate Kimura Kei

Kimura Kei’s Training Grounds are situated in the southwestern part of Kii, just north of the shore, between Sazae Oni Shores and Nakahechi Route. Upon arrival, follow the students to reach Kimura Kei. He will recognize Yasuke and order his students to attack. You'll be surrounded by attacking ronin, and even more will come as you approach Kimura Kei. Equip your highest-level armor and weapons, and use the strategically placed red barrels to your advantage by shooting them with your bow or teppo to take out groups of enemies.

Once you reach Kimura Kei, a boss fight ensues, and stealth assassination is not an option. Equip armor with an engraving that allows you to parry unblockable attacks, as Kimura Kei uses many of them. The fight is divided into multiple phases. Initially, he wields a standard Katana; parry his attacks to make him vulnerable and use posture attacks to break his armor. In the next phase, he switches to a Long Katana alongside the standard one, increasing the frequency of unblockable attacks. Focus on dodging and striking between his attacks.

When Kimura Kei’s health drops to about half, the fight moves outside. Here, he unleashes highly damaging unblockable attacks using both Katana. Dodge frequently, maintain a safe distance, and use your bow or teppo for long-range attacks.

Every Reward for Killing Kimura Kei in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Eliminating Kimura Kei rewards you with 3,000 XP, Mon, and the Templar-themed Destroyer Samurai Armor and Helmet. The armor reduces the impact from enemy attacks, while the helmet boosts Yasuke's damage by 10% for every 10% of his missing health.

How to Find the Silver Queen in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

After defeating the Shinbakufu, the Silver Queen appears on the Templar Board, aiding the Portuguese in their pillaging of Tamba. To reach her, you must first speak with several contacts, starting with a spy.

Where to Find and Talk to The Spy

The spy, who provides information on the Silver Queen, is located in Southeast Tamba within the Silver Lands. Look for him sitting on a rug under a small structure near a wooden cart and crates. He will give you the Silver Queen’s location after your conversation.

Where to Meet the Silver Queen

You can find the Silver Queen in the town of Tada, just northeast of Tada Kakurega. She will be conversing with Portuguese soldiers. Approach and talk to her, then follow her to her house for tea. After waking up, you'll find yourself in Tada Silver Mine.

How to Escape from Tada Silver Mine

Upon waking from the drugged tea, you'll be in a locked room in Tada Silver Mine. Break the door by sprinting into it. After dealing with the alerted guards, you can either fight or sneak your way out. Sneaking is the more efficient option. Head southwest out of the mine, eliminating any enemies in your path.

How to Locate Akechi Mitsuyoshi

The Silver Queen requires Yasuke's help to rescue her brother, Akechi Mitsuyoshi, in exchange for information on Yasuke’s true target. After escaping Tada Silver Mine, head north toward Kameyama Castle. If you need to replenish Ammo or Rations, there's a Kakurega just north of Senneji Temple in Kameyama.

Activate Pathfinder and navigate through Kameyama Castle, eliminating guards along the suggested path. You will encounter a bleeding servant in the living quarters who provides a key to the castle’s Tenshu.

How to Free Akechi Mitsuyoshi and Retrieve His Katana

With the key to the castle’s Tenshu, enter the main castle building beneath the Viewpoint and unlock the marked door to free Akechi Mitsuyoshi. Follow him as he escapes, using your bow or teppo to take out distant threats. After he is free, re-enter the castle to retrieve his Katana from Baltazar, who is surrounded by soldiers. Clear them out first, then use abilities and posture attacks to defeat Baltazar.

Once you've killed Baltazar and retrieved Akechi Mitsuyoshi’s Katana, head north to Atago Shrine. There, talk to Akechi Mitsuyoshi and follow him to receive the location of your next target.

How to Find and Assassinate Nuno Caro

Yasuke’s ultimate target, Nuno Caro, is preparing to leave Japan and can be found in Western Tamba at Takeda Castle. This castle, perched high on a mountain, requires you to follow a winding road. Use Pathfinder for the most direct route.

Takeda Castle is heavily guarded with enemies and alarm bells. Since stealth is less effective as Yasuke, disable the alarm bells with your bow or teppo. As you ascend, you'll reach a set of double doors leading to Nuno Caro. Clear his men as you climb, culminating in a boss fight at the castle's peak. Nuno Caro uses a sword and pistol; block or parry his sword combos and dodge his pistol shots when they glow red. Use Abilities to deal high damage and create openings for attacks until he is defeated.

Once Nuno Caro is eliminated, the Templar Hunt Objective Board is completed.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is available from March 20th on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
