Don't Starve Together is still coming to mobile, but not to Netflix

by Connor Mar 26,2025

After a significant period of silence following the announcement in June 2024, we have an update on *Don't Starve Together*. Unfortunately, it will no longer be coming to Netflix Games. However, there's good news for fans eager to dive into this survival adventure on their mobile devices: *Don't Starve Together* is still set to launch on iOS and Android.

Playdigious, in collaboration with Klei Entertainment, continues their efforts to bring the eerie, Tim Burton-esque world of *Don't Starve* to mobile platforms. In this game, you find yourself stranded on an island teeming with hostile wildlife. Your mission, as one of the quirky and oddball characters, is to gather resources, survive, and most importantly, *don't starve*.

Originally planned as an exclusive release on Netflix Games, *Don't Starve Together* will now be available globally through the Google Play Store and the iOS App Store. While we await a specific release date, both Klei Entertainment and Playdigious have assured us that an announcement is on the horizon.

Don't Starve Together Mobile ReleaseNo Netflix for youIt appears that the exclusivity deal with Netflix has fallen through. While it's reassuring to know that *Don't Starve Together* will still reach a global audience on mobile, one can't help but ponder what this means for Netflix Games' commitment to indie titles. *Don't Starve* is a notable franchise and a landmark in the survival indie genre. If even a game of this stature can't secure a spot, what does that portend for other indie developers?

The absence of *Don't Starve Together* from Netflix's lineup is particularly disappointing, as the service's indie catalog has been a significant draw.
