Dune: Awakening MMO Character Creation Now Open

Following the excitement of the reveal trailer, developer Funcom has released the Character Creator and Benchmark Mode. This lets you fully customize your character's appearance, choose your home planet, caste, and a mentor or class. Your crafted character will seamlessly transfer into the full game upon its release. As an added bonus, early character creators will receive an exclusive Frameblade knife skin, redeemable at launch with a special code.

The Benchmark Sequence is designed to test your PC's performance and automatically adjust the graphics settings for the best possible experience. This sequence guides you through a player-built base in the desert, the bustling Harkonnen player hub known as Harko Village, and culminates in an awe-inspiring encounter with a massive sandworm.

Priced at USD 49.99, Dune: Awakening will soon be available for pre-order on Steam. Pre-order bundles include the Terrarium of Muad’Dib, an in-base decoration featuring the beloved desert kangaroo mouse from the series.
