Elliot Page, the star of PlayStation and Quantic Dream's acclaimed story-driven adventure game Beyond: Two Souls, is set to reimagine the game as a television series through his production company, Pageboy Productions. According to Deadline, Pageboy Productions has secured the rights from Quantic Dream to transform the game into a TV show that will maintain its non-linear storytelling approach. While the project is still in the early stages of development, details on casting and release dates remain under wraps.
Reflecting on his role in the game, Page shared with Deadline that filming Beyond: Two Souls was "one of the most challenging and fulfilling acting experiences" of his career. He expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating, "The story’s rich narrative and emotional depth offer us a fantastic foundation. We want to create a unique vision of the characters and their journeys that resonates with fans and newcomers."

Matt Jordan Smitt, head of development and production at Pageboy, elaborated on their approach, saying that the team aims to "honor the game’s legacy while inviting fresh perspectives." He emphasized the importance of exploring themes of survival and the impact of decisions, which are central to telling Jodie Holmes's story.
Beyond: Two Souls originally debuted on the PlayStation 3 in 2013, and later became available on the PlayStation 4 in 2015 and on PC in 2019. The game, directed and written by Quantic Dream's David Cage, follows Jodie Holmes, a young woman with psychic abilities who can interact with a spirit named Aiden. The game's narrative, which jumps through different phases of Jodie's life, was praised for its innovative structure and for featuring prominent actors like Page and Willem Dafoe.
David Cage, who is also collaborating with Page on the TV adaptation, expressed excitement about the project. He stated, "We are absolutely thrilled to collaborate again with Elliot Page on this project. I was blown away by his acting performance in the game, and I couldn’t think of anyone else to tell this story with the same passion on another medium. Beyond: Two Souls is a very special game for millions of players around the world who were moved by the story of Jodie and Aiden, and their journey in life and beyond. I know that Elliot has all the talent and instinct to make it something really unique on TV."
While fans will have to wait for the Beyond: Two Souls TV series to come to fruition, they can revisit IGN's original review of the game here and explore all of our Quantic Dream video game reviews here.
