"End the Feud in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - Battle of Frogs & Mice Quest Guide"

by Blake Jun 15,2025

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the Battle of the Frogs and Mice is more than just a quirky side quest—it’s an opportunity to influence a long-standing local rivalry between Prochek and Olbram. If left unchecked, their feud could drag on indefinitely. Fortunately, you have the power to bring peace to the region by making smart choices and navigating key dialogue options.

How to Start Battle of the Frogs and Mice in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

To unlock this side quest, you must first complete either the “Mice” or “Frogs” questline for Prochek or Olbram. Once you've completed one of these initial quests, return to speak with either character—Prochek in Tachov or Olbram in Zhelejov—to officially begin the Battle of the Frogs and Mice quest.

After accepting the quest, proceed to the designated pasture to continue.

Should You Side With Prochek or Olbram?

While the game encourages you to choose a side, it’s not mandatory. However, if you’re looking to simply win the skirmish rather than resolve the conflict, talk to your preferred leader and declare your support:
  • To side with Prochek, tell him: “Let’s get those Zhelejovites!”
  • To side with Olbram, say: “Let’s go and see those Tachovites!”

During the confrontation at the pasture, avoid trying to mediate between the two parties, as this will trigger the fight prematurely. Instead, attempt to pass a dialogue check during negotiations—this may cause a member of the opposing faction to flee, giving your chosen side an advantage.

Victory in battle grants a small reward in groschen.

How to Stop the Feud

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - Stopping the Feud

If you're aiming for a peaceful resolution rather than all-out war, here's what to do:

Before heading to the pasture, speak with either Prochek or Olbram and ask if they are open to ending the feud. Then, travel to Troskowitz and meet with Baliff Thrush. Select the dialogue option: “You’d finally have some peace.”

Successfully passing the dialogue check allows you to visit the scribe’s room and read the Troskowitz Chronicle. If persuasion fails, consider sneaking in to view the document. Be sure to save your progress before attempting this.

Next, speak with the scribe and use the Latin phrase: “Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei.”

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - The Nail of Peace

Return to the pasture and locate three oak trees aligned in a row. Inspect the middle tree to find a nail. Your decision regarding its placement determines how the land is divided:

  • Leave the nail in the middle tree to divide the land equally.
  • Place it in the west tree to favor Tachov.
  • Put it in the east tree to benefit Zhelejov.

The choice is yours, and since it has minimal long-term impact, feel free to align with your preference or remain neutral.

Once decided, inform Baliff Thrush of your resolution. He will agree to end the feud. Then, summon both Prochek and Olbram to the pasture to finalize the truce.

Finally, speak with Baliff Thrush again to receive the Master Studies I book as a reward.

By following this guide, you can successfully stop the feud during the Battle of the Frogs and Mice side quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. Whether you seek peace or prefer to pick a side, your decisions shape the story and outcomes of the world around you.
