The much-anticipated Godzilla skin is set to make its debut in Fortnite on January 17, and recent leaks have unveiled all the exciting details about the collaboration with Monsterverse. Epic Games has preemptively released an update that will go live on the same day, and thanks to dataminers, we now know what's in store for players. Alongside the regular Godzilla skin available in the battle pass, fans can look forward to purchasing images of Mechagodzilla and Kong from the in-game store. This set will also feature unique jet packs and custom pickaxes designed for both skins.
Adding to the thrill, Fortnite will introduce a new boss event on January 17, where one player on the map can transform into a colossal Godzilla and utilize its iconic atomic breath ability. Teammates will need to band together to take down this giant beast. The player who inflicts the most damage on Godzilla throughout the battle will be rewarded with a special medallion that grants a unique ability.
The Mechagodzilla and Kong set will be available in the Fortnite store at the usual time, with the following pricing:
Fortnite's collaborations don't stop at Monsterverse. The game frequently hosts a variety of performers and artists, and there's buzz about the potential arrival of the iconic Vocaloid, Hatsune Miku. Social media interactions have sparked excitement among players. The Hatsune Miku account mentioned a missing backpack, to which the Fortnite Festival account responded, hinting that they have it. This could mean players will soon enjoy a variety of Hatsune Miku-themed content, including a stylized pickaxe, a "Miku the Catgirl" skin variant, and a virtual concert featuring the beloved Vocaloid.
