The latest beta build for Version 5.4 of Genshin Impact has unveiled exciting details about the upcoming event banners, showcasing the 4-Star characters that will join the highly anticipated 5-Star lineup of Mizuki, Wriothesley, Sigewinne, and Furina. As Version 5.3 concludes the Archon Quest in Natlan, Version 5.4 shifts the focus back to Inazuma. Although it won't introduce a new map expansion, the flagship event will immerse players in the mystical world of Inazuma's yokai, featuring prominent roles for Yae Miko and Ei.
The star attraction of Version 5.4 is undoubtedly Yumemizuki Mizuki, a new 5-Star Anemo Catalyst hailing from Inazuma. Set to become a standard banner character, Mizuki's Signature Weapon is already generating buzz. Her ability kit draws comparisons to Sucrose, but with the added benefit of healing. While some have criticized her passive rotation, ongoing buffs throughout the beta testing phase have kept her in the spotlight.
Thanks to the diligent datamining efforts of HomDCCat, Genshin Impact enthusiasts now have a clearer picture of the 4-Star characters slated for Version 5.4's event banners. The first half will feature Wriothesley and Mizuki, while Sigewinne and Furina will headline the second half. The 4-Star characters expected to join them include Mika, Gorou, Sayu, and Chongyun. Rumors also swirl about an Inazuma Chronicled Banner making its debut, though confirmation awaits the developer's livestream.
Note that the 4-Star characters are not listed in any specific order. If an Inazuma Chronicled Banner does indeed feature in Version 5.4, Gorou and Sayu would likely appear in the phase not occupied by the Chronicled Banner. Given the pattern of previous versions, both scenarios are plausible. Among the 4-Star characters, Mika stands out as particularly valuable, offering excellent synergy with both Furina and Wriothesley.
Speculation abounds regarding the final two spots on the event banners. Many players are eager for Charlotte's return, as she has been absent since her debut in Version 4.2 and missed Furina's rerun in Version 4.7. Noelle, who synergizes well with both Furina and Gorou, is also a strong contender for a spot in the second half. While there may be more powerful 4-Star options, the inclusion of Sayu, Mika, and Gorou provides a much-needed rerun opportunity on the event banners.
