G.I. Joe Goes Heavy Metal in Hasbro's Incredible Cold Slither Box Set

IGN is excited to reveal an exclusive first look at Hasbro's latest addition to the G.I. Joe Classified series, and it's a real treat for fans. This new box set introduces the infamous Cobra villain Zartan and his Dreadnoks, transformed into the heavy metal band Cold Slither, in a nod to a memorable episode from the classic G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero series.

The G.I. Joe Classified: Dreadnoks Cold Slither - Band of Vipers set is set to make waves at San Diego Comic-Con this summer, running from July 24-27, 2025. This exclusive set features detailed 6-inch figures of Zartan, Ripper, Buzzer, and Torch, all geared up for the Band of Vipers World Tour concert. The package is loaded with 29 accessories, including a range of musical instruments such as a guitar, bass, keytar, and a full drum set. The packaging itself is a collector's dream, designed to replicate the iconic Springfield Theater.

For fans who cherish a more nostalgic approach, Hasbro is collaborating with Super7 to introduce the Cold Slither Zartan figure to the Super7 ReAction+ line. This 3.75-inch figure, modeled after the vintage A Real American Hero toys, comes with O-Ring construction and retro-style packaging. Adding a unique twist, the figure glows in the dark when exposed to UV light and is equipped with microphone and guitar accessories. Priced at $20, it will be available for preorder on the Super7 website starting April 3 at 9:15am PT.

Hasbro is also diving deep into the musical theme by releasing an actual Cold Slither album in collaboration with Reigning Phoenix Music. The debut album features 10 electrifying tracks, headlined by the anthem "Cold Slither," promising a blend of searing guitar riffs, pounding rhythms, and catchy choruses that will resonate with fans.
