Unexpected news for Goat Simulator fans: a card game adaptation is on the horizon! Get ready for some goat-fueled mayhem. The game is slated for release later this year.
Coffee Stain North, the creators of Goat Simulator, have joined forces with MOOD Publishing, known for titles like Deep Rock Galactic: The Board Game and Valheim: The Board Game, to bring this card game to life.
What We Know About Goat Simulator: The Card Game
Details are scarce, but the game will support 2-6 players engaged in chaotic goat-centric battles. Expect the same brand of absurdity found in the original games, now packaged in a card game format.
Launching on Kickstarter later this year, Goat Simulator: The Card Game is a physical card game. If you've experienced the video game's unique brand of goat-based destruction, you can likely envision the chaotic energy translated into a card game.
Coffee Stain North's Creative Director, Santiago Ferrero, humorously commented, "Chaotic animal-based video games are so last year. That’s why we’ve partnered with MOOD Publishing to release a chaotic animal-based card game instead! You’ve seen goats on your screen; now it’s time to bring them to your table.”
From April Fool's Joke to a Genre?
Initially conceived as an April Fool's Day joke in 2014, Goat Simulator has transcended its humble beginnings. Its presence spans various platforms, including PCs, consoles, and mobile devices. Now, with Goat Simulator 3 continuing the series' legacy of absurdity, a card game adds another layer to the franchise. In the meantime, you can find the Goat Simulator games on the Google Play Store.
