Gothic 1 Remake Demo Coming to Steam Next Fest – Featuring New Protagonist Niras

Alkimia Interactive, the studio behind the highly anticipated Gothic 1 Remake, has given journalists early access to a new demo. Originally planned for Gamescom, this demo will soon be available to the public.

This demo acts as a prelude to the full game, introducing a new protagonist: Niras, a prisoner arriving in the Miners' Valley. Unlike the original Nameless Hero, Niras' experiences will shape a unique perspective on the game's narrative and its inhabitants.

A previous Gamescom 2024 demo showcased Niras' arrival and introduction to the Colony's harsh environment. This upcoming demo expands upon that, offering a more substantial experience. Both this demo and the final game are almost entirely rebuilt, promising extended gameplay, a deeper exploration of the orcs, and enhanced immersion. Expect a significantly richer experience than the original Gothic.

The new Gothic 1 Remake demo will launch on Steam during the Steam Next Fest, available for free from the evening of February 24th until the evening of March 3rd.
