Sharp Fangs can be found early in the game by exploring the Windward Plains, which becomes accessible shortly after starting the story. You can begin farming them by taking on one of the first optional quests such as “Beware the Chatacabra” or “The Desert is Demanding.” These quests grant a generous 50-minute time limit and direct you straight to the region where these resources spawn. Before heading out, it's wise to cook and consume a meal to gain beneficial buffs during your hunt.

Where to Farm Sharp Fangs

Once in the Windward Plains, travel east—either on foot or using your Seikret—to Area 8, the largest section of the map. Here, you’ll encounter various small monsters that either guarantee or have a chance to drop Sharp Fangs. Among them, one monster stands out as the most efficient target.

Gaijos – Guaranteed Sharp Fang Drops

Gaijos are small leviathans commonly found near riverbeds or swimming in water. They’re easily identifiable by their crocodile-like appearance and distinctive snouts. Use the interactive map to locate Gaijos by scanning for purple diamond markers near bodies of water.

Approach a Gaijo and eliminate it with your weapon—these creatures have low health and are easy to dispatch even with beginner-tier gear. Once defeated, carve the carcass to obtain 1 x Sharp Fang. Each Gaijo guarantees a Sharp Fang drop, making them the ideal target for farming.

There are typically four to five Gaijos present in the Windward Plains at any given time. If you need more Sharp Fangs, simply re-enter the region via any of the Windward Plains optional quests (the easiest method) to continue farming without delay.

Talioth – Alternative Source of Sharp Fangs

Another small monster in the Windward Plains that can yield Sharp Fangs is the Talioth. These bipedal creatures often travel in packs and appear primarily in Areas 8 and 13. Although not every Talioth drop includes Sharp Fangs, there is a consistent chance, especially when hunting multiple targets.

Talioths also provide other useful materials like Talioth Scales. Additionally, killing eight of them fulfills the “The Desert is Demanding” optional quest, making them a convenient dual-purpose target while farming for Sharp Fangs.
