In the competitive world of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 multiplayer, countless final kills are captured and shared online. However, few are as spectacular as this one.
The Ricochet Blades, unique ammo for the D1.3 Sector secondary weapon (introduced during the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event), quickly became a topic of conversation due to their unpredictable, bouncing trajectory.
Player kev99gh captured and shared an incredible final kill in a hardcore Search and Destroy match on the Lowtown map. The kill involved a Ricochet Blade—affectionately nicknamed a "pizza" by the community—bouncing out of the map, then back in, for a one-hit kill on an unsuspecting enemy peeking from a window.
Longest ricochet blade ever. Bounced a pizza out of the map. Final kill cam.

kev99gh's remarkable clip is arguably the longest Ricochet Blade kill ever recorded, due to the blade's excursion outside the map boundaries. The video shows kev99gh lining up the shot, firing blindly, then switching to the overhead map view to track the blade's improbable journey along the map's edge before its return for the kill.
These elaborate trick shots aren't purely luck. Redditor SpawnTubing, who posted kev99gh's clip, explained that the Black Ops 6 community actively seeks out and practices common camping spots. Commenters also noted the impeccable timing of the enemy player peeking precisely as the "pizza" flew through the window—a scenario familiar to many Black Ops 6 players.
The Ricochet Blades have, in fact, spawned a sort of "bounce kill" meta, with numerous (though less impressive) kills shared online across various multiplayer maps. Some kills involve multiple bounces before hitting their target, such as this one:

However, not all players are thrilled. Some find the bouncing blades frustrating and annoying. These critics will be displeased to learn that developer Treyarch recently buffed the Ricochet Blades' physics and bouncing speeds, making them one-hit kills on contact. The relevant patch notes are as follows:
D1.3 Sector
Our initial design for the D1.3 Sector Ricochet Blades revolved around quickly launching many high-speed blades, meant to perform best blind firing into enclosed spaces. We have been following your feedback and agree that, in practice, the use cases for this ammo type are too low. The Ricochet Blades will now do 100 damage to enable one-hit kills, and to compensate we are lowering the fire rate and projectile speed. We think the popularity of this ammo type will see some new interest with these changes and look forward to seeing more of your cross-map killcams in MP.
Ricochet Blades
With Season 3 and the anticipated return of Verdansk to Warzone on the horizon, the reign of the Ricochet Blades looks set to intensify.
