InZOI's Game Director, Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, has recently provided insights into the game's unique blend of unusual and paranormal elements that players can expect. One of the standout features is the ability for players to control ghosts, though this will be done in a limited capacity to ensure it complements rather than overshadows the core gameplay experience. This ghostly mechanic is intricately linked to a karma system, which meticulously tracks the actions of characters and has a profound impact on their future lives and even their afterlife.
The karma system in InZOI plays a crucial role in determining a character's fate after death. Depending on their deeds, characters may peacefully transition to the afterlife or find themselves trapped as ghosts, lingering among the living. For these spectral entities to finally depart the mortal realm, they must accumulate the necessary karma points. This adds a fascinating layer of depth and consequence to the game's narrative and gameplay.

In the early access version of InZOI, players will encounter ghosts, but the ability to control them will be introduced in a later update. Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim emphasized that despite these paranormal elements, InZOI remains fundamentally a game focused on simulating real life, with supernatural aspects kept to a minimum. However, the developer has hinted at the potential introduction of other unexplained phenomena in future updates, keeping players intrigued about what's to come.
