Japan Expansion for Ticket to Ride: Build the Bullet Train Network!

Embark on a virtual train adventure across Japan with the latest expansion to Ticket to Ride, brought to you by Marmalade Game Studio and Asmodee Entertainment. The Japan Expansion introduces the iconic Japan map to digital platforms, offering a unique twist on the classic board game experience.

Help Build the Train Network

For the first time, the Japan map from the physical version of Ticket to Ride is available digitally, but with a fresh twist. Instead of solely focusing on building your own train empire, you now contribute to a national Bullet Train network that benefits everyone. This cooperative element adds a new layer of strategy, allowing you to either collaborate or subtly let others do the heavy lifting while you accumulate points. Beware though, the game includes a karma system that penalizes you with a 20-point deduction if you neglect your Bullet Train responsibilities. So, even if you're plotting some friendly sabotage, a bit of cooperation is essential.

The Japan Expansion introduces two new characters to enrich the gameplay experience. Meet Nakanishi Kimiko, a travel blogger who enjoys the festival circuit with her dog, and Moriyama Isamu, a gyōji or sumo referee, adding a touch of Japan's cultural heritage to the game beyond just trains and maps.

Ticket to Ride Has Upgraded Trains with the Japan Expansion

Enhance your collection with the Japan Expansion's new additions. You'll receive two new trains and two carriages: the Ichi Eki Saki train and the Tsuki Sleeper carriage for leisurely journeys, and the Isogaba Maware train paired with the Hayai carriage for swift and efficient travel. As spring arrives, the Japan map's seasonal charm is set to enhance your gaming sessions even more.

The Japan Expansion for Ticket to Ride is now available for download, ready to refresh your gaming experience. Head over to the Google Play Store to get your hands on it.
