Warhorse Studios, the developer, celebrated this milestone as a resounding triumph, echoing their earlier jubilation upon reaching 1 million sales just one day after launch.

This remarkable achievement for the medieval RPG sequel, released February 4th on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, is truly noteworthy. Last week, parent company Embracer Group highlighted the game's exceptional performance on Steam, boasting over 250,000 concurrent players at its peak – a significant leap from the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance's peak of 96,069 seven years prior. The actual peak player count is likely even higher, considering console sales, though precise figures remain unavailable from Sony and Microsoft.

Embracer Group, owning Warhorse Studios through Plaion, praised Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's success across the board – player reception, critical acclaim, and sales performance. CEO Lars Wingefors attributed the success to the dedication of Warhorse Studios and publisher Deep Silver, anticipating continued strong revenue generation over the next few years. He highlighted the game's immersive quality and engaging content, emphasizing a robust roadmap of updates and new content planned for the next year.

The post-launch roadmap includes three expansions slated for 2025. Free updates this spring will introduce features like a barber shop for character customization, Hardcore Mode, and horse racing. Summer will see the first paid DLC, "Brushes with Death," focusing on protagonist Henry's assistance to a mysterious artist. Autumn brings "Legacy of the Forge," delving into Henry's adoptive father's past, while winter concludes with "Mysteria Ecclesia," a covert mission within the Sedlec Monastery.
