Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: A Closer Look at Village Life and Recent Controversy
Warhorse Studios continues to unveil aspects of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, focusing this time on village activities. Players will experience a richer, more interactive world where protagonist Henry engages in various activities, including drinking, shepherding, archery (both crossbow and bow), prayer, hunting, and assisting villagers – even finding antidotes for the injured.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is slated for release on February 4, 2025.
However, the game has recently faced a wave of controversy. Following the discovery of certain subpoenas within the game, activists launched a campaign to cancel the project. Figures like Grummz and other self-described "agenda-driven" campaigners have amplified this effort.
The controversy escalated further after news of a Saudi Arabian ban on KCD 2 spread online, fueling rumors about "progressive" content and sparking a social media backlash against the developers. Calls to cancel the game and discourage funding intensified.
In response to the online furor, Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, urged the public to trust the developers and to critically evaluate online information, cautioning against believing everything they read.
