LEGO has unveiled nine exciting new Star Wars sets, all set to launch on May 1, 2025, in celebration of Star Wars Day on May the 4th. This annual event is part of Disney's broader strategy to celebrate the iconic franchise, and LEGO typically marks the occasion with the release of a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship. In 2023, fans were treated to Luke's X-Wing Starfighter, followed by the TIE Interceptor in 2024. This year, LEGO is introducing Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, known to veteran fans as Slave I, which is available at the LEGO Store. The name change from Slave I to Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, initiated in 2021 at Disney's request (confirmed by LEGO), reflects a commitment to remove potentially sensitive terminology from their branding.

The last significant version of this LEGO starship was released in 2019, celebrating the 20th anniversary with 1007 pieces and depicting the ship from Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The new iteration, with 2970 pieces, showcases the ship as seen in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. This model is nearly three times larger than its predecessor, measuring 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
