NetEase's *Marvel Rivals* has quickly become a gaming sensation, but like many popular multiplayer games, it's not without its hiccups. While many issues are easily resolved, one persistent problem is significantly impacting gameplay: dropping FPS (frames per second). This article outlines solutions to help you regain smooth, consistent performance.
FPS, or frames per second, measures how many images your game displays each second. A low FPS directly affects gameplay smoothness and can be incredibly frustrating. Many *Marvel Rivals* players have reported this issue, particularly since the Season 1 update, leading to widespread searches for solutions.
One effective solution involves reinstalling your GPU drivers and ensuring GPU acceleration is enabled in your Windows graphics settings. Some players have accidentally disabled this setting for other games, inadvertently hindering *Marvel Rivals*' performance.
Another potential fix is reinstalling the game on a Solid State Drive (SSD). SSDs offer significantly faster load times and smoother gameplay compared to traditional hard drives. Moving *Marvel Rivals* to an SSD could dramatically improve performance.
If neither of these solutions works, patience might be your best bet. NetEase has a history of addressing such issues promptly, and they're already working on similar FPS-related problems affecting character damage. While waiting for an official fix isn't ideal, it's preferable to struggling with unplayable gameplay. Use this downtime to explore your game backlog or catch up on your favorite shows.
