Marvel Rivals: A Strategist's Guide to Support Characters

In Marvel Rivals, mastering the art of support is crucial for team survival. While damage dealers grab the spotlight, effective strategists are equally vital. This guide ranks the seven support units, helping you choose the perfect character for your playstyle. Note that while many players are familiar with Jeff, he's not the top contender.

Tier List:

RankHero
SMantis and Luna Snow
AAdam Warlock and Cloak & Dagger
BJeff the Land Shark, Loki, and Rocket Raccoon

S Tier:

Mantis and Luna Snow in Marvel Rivals.

  • Mantis: A top-tier healer boasting a damage buff by consuming orbs (which regenerate automatically). Headshotting instantly recovers an orb, making her potent in skilled hands, yet beginner-friendly. Her fragility requires careful positioning.

  • Luna Snow: Another excellent choice. Her primary attack heals allies and damages foes. Her Ice Art ability enhances healing and damage, while her Ultimate, Fate of Both Worlds, provides AoE healing or damage. Easy to use, focusing on positioning and timing. Primarily a support character with limited offensive capabilities.

A Tier:

Adam Warlock and Cloack & Dagger

  • Adam Warlock: Excels at reviving fallen teammates with his Quantum Zone Ultimate, granting temporary invincibility. His Avatar Life Stream heals allies, and Soul Bond shares damage and provides a heal-over-time effect.

  • Cloak & Dagger: Cloak's attack heals or damages, offering self-sustainability. Dagger focuses on damage and applying Vulnerability debuffs. Dark Teleportation boosts ally movement speed and provides invisibility.

B Tier:

Rocket Raccoon, Jeff, and Loki in Marvel Rivals.

  • Jeff the Land Shark: While popular, Jeff's healing is weaker than higher-tier characters, struggling in extended fights. His kit is simpler than Mantis or Warlock. A decent beginner support.

  • Loki: A skilled-player character. Heals allies and summons decoys that mimic his actions, requiring precise positioning. His Ultimate allows shapeshifting into any hero for 15 seconds.

  • Rocket Raccoon: Offers utility and damage rather than pure healing. His Respawn Machine revives allies, but his focus leans towards hybrid DPS. His performance depends heavily on player skill, and his small size makes him a vulnerable target.

Ultimately, the best support character depends on your personal preference and playstyle. Experiment to find your favorite!
