Marvel Rivals' First Month Hero Data Unveiled: Jeff the Land Shark Reigns Supreme, Mantis Dominates Wins
NetEase has released comprehensive player statistics for Marvel Rivals, highlighting the most and least popular heroes during the game's initial month. The data reveals surprising trends in hero selection and win rates across Quickplay and Competitive modes on both PC and console.
Jeff the Land Shark emerges as the undisputed Quickplay champion, boasting the highest pick rate across both platforms. However, Mantis surprisingly claims the top spot for win rate, exceeding 50% in both Quickplay (56%) and Competitive (55%). Other high-performing heroes include Loki, Hela, and Adam Warlock.
The Competitive scene reveals platform-specific favorites: Cloak & Dagger reigns supreme on consoles, while Luna Snow dominates on PC.
The data also highlights significant disparities in hero popularity. Storm, a Duelist character, suffers from a remarkably low pick rate of 1.66% in Quickplay and a dismal 0.69% in Competitive, attributed to perceived weaknesses in damage and gameplay. However, NetEase's announced Season 1 buffs for Storm suggest a potential shift in her fortunes.
The upcoming Season 1, launching January 10th, will introduce the Fantastic Four, promising significant gameplay changes and potentially altering the current hero meta. The release of Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman at launch, followed by The Human Torch and The Thing mid-season, is expected to shake up the existing power dynamics. Will these new additions dethrone the current top contenders? Only time will tell.
