Should You Help Markold or the Miners?

Your next move is to deliver the letter to the shaft owner, Markold. You'll need to speak with the bodyguard at his house to gain access to Markold upstairs. Here, you can choose to blackmail Markold, hand over the letter, or collaborate with him to eliminate the miners. Blackmailing him is not recommended due to the challenging Speech check and because it would end the quest prematurely.

Opting to help Markold requires you to kill three miners, which will net you 60 groschen. This is considered the least favorable outcome. Instead, it's highly recommended to side with the miners. Give the letter to Markold as planned, and he will provide you with seven groschen. He'll also direct you to meet some miners just north of the city.

Head to the designated location and wait for the miners. Once at the camp, speak with Myslibor. When Markold arrives to attack, assist the miners in defeating him.
