Netflix's highly anticipated Rise of the Golden Idol is set to expand its universe with the release of its first DLC, The Sins of New Wells, on March 4th. This exciting addition will be available on mobile platforms as well as PC and consoles. Notably, mobile users will enjoy this DLC at no additional cost, thanks to Netflix Gaming.
Prepare for a deeper dive into mystery, crime, and the enigmatic Lemurian magic. The setting of New Wells presents a unique challenge, riddled with corruption and crime as the norm. Homicide detective Roy Samson finds himself transferred to the notorious 9th District, where justice is a scarce commodity.
Teaming up with his new partner, Cliff Savea, Roy embarks on unraveling a series of brutal crimes. What starts as routine investigation quickly escalates into a much larger, sinister plot. The Sins of New Wells introduces four thrilling new cases: Following Orders, Trouble Unleashed, The Raid, and Unraveling. Players will navigate through a web of deceit, interrogating largely dishonest characters and solving intricate puzzles to piece together the truth behind these cases. The city of New Wells is gripped by a palpable sense of madness, making every investigation a challenging and immersive experience.
Mark your calendars—The Sins of New Wells will be available for mobile players at 9 AM PT or 5 PM GMT on the day of launch. Developer Color Gray Games has teased that this is just the beginning, with at least four more DLCs planned for 2025. Rise of the Golden Idol has already established itself as a premier modern detective game, and with your Netflix subscription, you can access it for free on the Google Play Store.
