Loot filters are invaluable in Path of Exile 2, especially as the item drops increase. They declutter your screen, highlighting crucial items for smoother looting. Managing items on console with a controller can be cumbersome, but thankfully, PlayStation and Xbox players can utilize item filters just like PC users. However, the process on consoles can be slightly confusing, so this guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough.
To use loot filters in the console versions of PoE 2, you must first link your console account to your Path of Exile account via the Path of Exile 1 website. Follow these steps:
After clicking Connect, you'll be prompted to log in to your PlayStation or Xbox account. Complete the process to link your accounts.
With your accounts linked, return to your profile page on the website and click the "Item Filters" button on the right. Then, click the "Item Filter Ladder" hyperlink. This opens a new tab with available loot filters for Path of Exile 2.
A drop-down box above the filter list allows you to select PoE 2. Choose your desired filter and click the "Follow" button. For new players, NeverSink's semi-strict or regular filters offer a good starting point.
After following a filter, open the game and navigate to the Options menu. Go to the "Game" tab; the "Item Filter" option is at the top. Select your chosen filter from the drop-down menu and click "Save." Your in-game items will now be labeled, colored, or have sound effects based on your selected filter.
