Exciting news for fans of the Persona series: *Persona 5: The Phantom X* is set to make its global debut, and pre-registration on Android is already open. Previously announced for a June 26th, 2025 release in Japan, this date now marks the global launch as well, unifying fans worldwide in anticipation.
Originally launched in China a year ago, *Persona 5: The Phantom X* has since expanded to Taiwan, South Korea, Macau, and Hong Kong, where it's available across Android, iOS, and PC platforms. SEGA and Atlus are now bringing this acclaimed title to a global audience, ensuring everyone can experience the thrill.
Crafted by Black Wing Game Studio with contributions from former Persona 5 developers, *Phantom X* operates on a free-to-play model, incorporating a gacha system that allows players to summon various characters to bolster their party.
The global release promises Japanese voice acting with the choice of English or Japanese text, catering to a wide range of fans. If you're eager to dive in, you can pre-register right now on the Google Play Store. Don't miss the first look at the game below!
In *Persona 5: The Phantom X*, you'll step into the shoes of a brand-new protagonist, leading a fresh crew of Phantom Thieves through a stylized modern-day Tokyo filled with new palaces and mementos.
The game retains the series' beloved turn-based combat and dual-life rhythm, while adding light social-simulation elements and dungeon crawling. Players can also engage with a guild system, tackle the PvE mode known as Velvet Trials, and encounter familiar faces from the original *Persona 5*.
The narrative begins with the protagonist awakening from a nightmare into a twisted reality, where they're guided by a talking owl named Lefaye and meet the iconic Velvet Room crew, including the unsettling long-nosed man and his assistants.
That concludes our update on the global pre-registration for *Persona 5: The Phantom X*. Stay tuned for more gaming news, including our next scoop on Crunchyroll’s Roguelike Combat Deckbuilder, *Shogun Showdown*.
