Point-And-Click Mystery Game The Darkside Detective Is Now Out, Along With Its Sequel A Fumble in the Dark

Akupara Games has been prolific lately, releasing several titles. Following their deck-building game Zoeti, they've launched The Darkside Detective, a puzzle game, and its sequel, The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark (both simultaneously!).

Delving into the Darkside Detective Universe

The game unfolds on a misty, ominous night in Twin Lakes, a city where the strange and surreal are commonplace. Players control Detective Francis McQueen and his partner, the endearingly clumsy Officer Patrick Dooley, members of the underfunded Darkside Division of the Twin Lakes Police Department. The duo tackles nine quirky cases, plunging players into the humorous and bizarre world of The Darkside Detective and its equally witty sequel.

These point-and-click adventures feature a diverse range of challenges, from time-travel puzzles and monstrous tentacles to unraveling carnival mysteries and encountering mafia zombies. See the action for yourself in the trailer below!

The game is a playful homage to pop culture, referencing classic horror films, sci-fi shows, and buddy cop movies. Case titles like "Malice in Wonderland," "Tome Alone," "Disorient Express," "Police Farce," "Don of the Dead," "Buy Hard," and "Baits Motel" hint at the quirky adventures ahead.

The game's humor is a standout feature, infused into every pixel. The Darkside Detective is available on the Google Play Store for $6.99. A Fumble in the Dark can be played independently of the prequel, also available on Google Play.
