Pokémon Go’s Small Yet Strong event brings your favourite tiny Pokémon to the forefront

by Adam Mar 18,2025

Get ready for the Pokémon Go Small Yet Strong event, running from February 5th to 8th! This exciting event boosts your chances of encountering extra-small (XXS) and extra-large (XXL) Pokémon, and marks the debut of Shiny Nymble. Catch Pokémon to earn double XP, perfect for powering up your team for the upcoming Pokémon Go Tour – Unova.

This event features increased wild encounters with XXS and XXL Pokémon, including Shiny Nymble's first appearance. Look out for regional variations of Flabébé (Red Flower in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa; Blue Flower in the Asia-Pacific region; Yellow Flower in the Americas), with a chance to find White or Orange Flower Flabébé anywhere. Other boosted wild encounters include Paras, Natu, Joltik, and various Burmy forms.

Dialga and Enamorus (Incarnate Forme) will appear in Five-Star Raids, while Mega Medicham and Mega Tyranitar dominate Mega Raids. Both raid and wild encounters offer Shiny Pokémon possibilities. Two-kilometer Eggs contain Togepi, Azurill, Budew, and Dedenne, and Field Research tasks reward encounters with Burmy and Nymble. Complete the event-themed Timed Research and Collection Challenge for Stardust, Poké Balls, and more event Pokémon encounters. Don't forget to check out the PokéStop Showcases featuring event Pokémon, and stock up on supplies at the Pokémon Go Web Store.
