As Rainbow Six Siege celebrates its tenth anniversary, Ubisoft has unveiled Siege X, marking a new chapter for the game. Much like CS2 revitalized CS:GO, Siege X promises to bring a fresh experience to the beloved tactical shooter. Set to launch on June 10, Siege X will transition to a free-to-play model, opening its doors to a wider audience of gamers eager to dive into its intense gameplay.
New Mode: Dual Front - Get ready for an exhilarating 6v6 match format that blends attack and defense operators into a single, dynamic game mode. The objective? Capture enemy zones and strategically plant sabotage devices. The battlefield is split into multiple areas: three zones for each team and a central neutral zone. Even if you fall in combat, you'll respawn after 30 seconds, keeping the action relentless and the stakes high.
Advanced Rappel System - Elevate your tactical gameplay with an enhanced rappel system that now supports movement both vertically and horizontally. This addition opens up new strategies for navigating the map and catching opponents off-guard.
Increased Environmental Destruction - Siege X introduces even more ways to alter the battlefield. From explosive fire extinguishers to volatile gas pipes, the environment becomes an even more integral part of your strategy, allowing for creative and destructive plays.
Reworks for Five Popular Maps - Five beloved maps are receiving major overhauls, ensuring that both veterans and newcomers will find something new to explore and master within the familiar landscapes.
Graphical & Audio Enhancements - Prepare for a feast for the senses with Ubisoft's commitment to a significant upgrade in visuals and sound, enhancing the overall immersion and intensity of every match.
Improved Anti-Cheat & Toxicity Measures - Ubisoft is taking steps to ensure a fairer and more enjoyable experience for all players by refining the anti-cheat system and implementing stronger measures against toxic behavior within the community.
To give players a taste of what's to come, Ubisoft has announced a closed beta for Siege X, available to those who watch Siege streams over the next seven days. This is your chance to get a head start and experience the future of Rainbow Six Siege firsthand.
