The final day of the Six Invitational is always a big day for Ubisoft and Rainbow Six Siege announcements. This year's highlight? The reveal of Rauora, the newest Attack Operator hailing from New Zealand.
Rauora's unique ability centers around the DOM launcher, a deployable bulletproof shield designed for doorways. While resistant to bullets, it's vulnerable to explosives. A clever twist: anyone can trigger the shield's opening mechanism, but the time to deploy differs significantly. Attackers enjoy a one-second deployment, while defenders face a three-second delay—a potentially game-changing difference, especially in defuser situations.

Adding to the excitement, Rauora brings a new weapon to Rainbow Six Siege: the Reaper MK2, a fully automatic pistol boasting a red dot sight and high-capacity magazine. She also has access to the M249 LMG and the 417 marksman rifle as alternative primary weapons.
Rauora will be playable on the test servers starting next week, with a full release on the live servers to follow shortly after.
