In the world of Genshin Impact, a recent leak suggests that Wriothesley will make his much-anticipated return in Version 5.4, following an over-year-long wait in the Fortress of Meropide. With more than 90 playable characters, Genshin Impact faces significant challenges in managing a fair and equitable schedule for its Event Banners. With an average of one new 5-Star character per patch, there are currently 43 limited 5-Star characters vying for a yearly rerun, but only 27 available slots, making a balanced schedule nearly impossible.

The introduction of the Chronicled Banner was an effort by the developers to alleviate this issue, yet many players view it as a temporary solution rather than a comprehensive fix. For example, Shenhe had to wait over 600 days for her rerun, which was finally confirmed for Version 5.3.
