EA's Battlefield Studios Unveils Battlefield Labs: Your Chance to Shape the Next Battlefield

EA has launched Battlefield Labs, offering players a unique opportunity to influence the development of the next Battlefield game. This isn't your typical beta; it's an exclusive program granting select fans early access and a chance to provide direct feedback.

Battlefield Labs Program

What is Battlefield Labs?

Battlefield Labs is a new initiative designed to gather crucial player feedback. Chosen participants will engage in early, remote playtests of work-in-progress game content. Expect a less polished experience than a traditional beta, with more bugs and unfinished elements. EA aims to leverage this feedback to refine combat, map design, balance, and overall gameplay.

Initially, a few thousand players in Europe and North America will be selected, with plans for broader expansion in the future. Battlefield Labs will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Battlefield Labs vs. Beta Testing

Unlike previous Battlefield betas, Battlefield Labs focuses on gathering feedback on unfinished game mechanics. Participants will encounter more bugs and technical issues. Furthermore, participants will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), preventing public sharing of information.

How to Sign Up for Battlefield Labs and Get Early Access

  1. Visit the official Battlefield Labs webpage.
  2. Log in or create an EA account and link it to your preferred gaming platform. Be aware of potential queues; you'll have a 15-minute window to access the site once your turn arrives.
  3. Complete the registration form and provide your email address.
  4. Regularly check your email for updates from the Battlefield Labs newsletter regarding playtest invitations.

EA's next Battlefield title is slated for release in EA's FY26 (before April 1, 2026). Your feedback through Battlefield Labs could directly shape its future.
