Sims 4 Welcomes Beloved Character

by George Mar 14,2025

Careful, Simmers! Robin Banks, the infamous Burglar, is back in The Sims 4!

A familiar face to veteran Simmers, Robin Banks returns in the latest update for The Sims 4, available now on PC and consoles. Prepare to safeguard your Sims' valuables! She's a nocturnal visitor, typically targeting homes while everyone sleeps, but don't be fooled—she's known to attempt heists even when Sims are awake. Stay vigilant!

To thwart her schemes, equip your home with a burglar alarm. Triggering the alarm guarantees a swift police response, leading to Robin's arrest and the recovery of your stolen goods. Alternatively, you can call the police yourself, but speed is key! Or, unleash your Sim's inner vigilante—the choice is yours.

Burglary events are designed to be relatively infrequent, but for those craving chaos, activate the "Heist Havoc" Lot Challenge to significantly increase the likelihood of a visit from Robin Banks.

The Sims team expressed their excitement about Robin's return, stating, "We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe... Robin Banks isn’t just ready to rob your Sims’ houses — she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."

Despite being a decade old—and with the franchise celebrating its 25th anniversary—The Sims 4 continues to thrive. Last year alone, it attracted over 15 million new players. EA's Q2 earnings report revealed that the premium version took four years to reach 20 million unique players. However, its transition to free-to-play in 2022 resulted in a staggering 31 million new players immediately, reaching a total of 85 million players by May 2024. And for those eagerly awaiting news, there are currently no plans for The Sims 5.
