"Spice Berry Jelly Recipe in Stardew Valley Revealed"

by Nicholas Apr 24,2025

*Stardew Valley* offers a rich and immersive experience where players can engage in various activities like farming, mining, and fishing. One of the delightful aspects of the game is creating your own provisions or preserves. Here's a detailed guide on how to make Spice Berry Jelly in *Stardew Valley*.

How To Get the Preserves Jar in Stardew Valley

The Preserves Jar is essential for crafting Jelly, Pickles, Caviar, and Aged Roe. You can obtain this valuable tool by completing the Quality Crops Bundle in the Community Centre or by reaching farming level 4.

To use the Preserves Jar for making Jelly, you'll need fruit, either grown or foraged. Specifically, in Summer, you can create Spice Berry Jelly if you've already obtained the Preserves Jar. Spice Berries can be found in the Farm Cave throughout the year or grown in the Greenhouse using Summer Seeds.

To unlock the Preserves Jar via the Community Centre, you need to submit three out of the four "gold quality" crops: pumpkins, melons, corn, and parsnips. Each of the three chosen crops requires five pieces of fruit or vegetables, all of which must bear the "gold quality" star. For example, you could donate 5 Corn, 5 Pumpkins, and 5 Parsnips, all of gold quality.

Once you've unlocked the Preserves Jar, making Spice Berry Jelly becomes a simple task.

How To Make Spice Berry Jelly in Stardew Valley

Here's how to create your own Spice Berry Jelly:

Gather Spice Berries: Search for them in the wild during Summer or in the Farm Cave any time of the year. You can also use a Spice Berry in a Seed Maker to produce Summer Seeds for replanting.

Build a Preserves Jar: Once unlocked, crafting the jar requires 50 Wood, 40 Stone, and 8 Coal. Alternatively, completing the Quality Crops Bundle rewards you with one Preserves Jar.

Creating the Jelly: Insert a Spice Berry into the Preserves Jar. The transformation process takes about two to three in-game days (or 54 hours). For optimal efficiency, initiate the process before engaging in other activities like sleeping or mining. You'll notice the Preserves Jar "pulsing" as it works.

Collect Your Jelly: Once the process is complete, the Spice Berry Jelly icon will appear above the Preserves Jar, ready for collection. You can then use the Jelly to restore energy during various activities or sell it for 160 gold.

Crafting Spice Berry Jelly not only adds a new layer of enjoyment to your *Stardew Valley* experience but also enhances the profitability of your farm, enriching the vibrant world around you.
