Attention music lovers: If you're having trouble accessing your favorite tunes on Spotify this morning, you're not alone. Reports indicate that the popular music streaming service, Spotify, experienced an outage starting around 6 a.m. PT today. According to Downdetector, a sister site of IGN, the reports of service disruptions have been pouring in continuously. Our team at IGN also faced difficulties accessing Spotify throughout the morning, and even when we managed to open the app, it failed to play any music.
Spotify has officially acknowledged these issues and is actively working to resolve them as quickly as possible. The company has also debunked rumors circulating about the outage being linked to a security hack, confirming that such claims are false.
We are aware of the outage and working to resolve it as soon as possible. The reports of this being a security hack are false.
