EA and Bit Reactor, a studio brimming with XCOM veterans, are finally ready to unveil their highly anticipated Star Wars turn-based tactics game at Star Wars Celebration 2025. Announced in early 2022, this untitled project has been developed in close collaboration with Respawn Entertainment. The big reveal is scheduled for April 19th, featuring a live panel with the lead development teams from Bit Reactor, Respawn Entertainment, and Lucasfilm Games.

Details about the game remain scarce. The Star Wars era and precise gameplay mechanics are yet to be revealed. However, given the team's XCOM background, a similar tactical experience infused with the Star Wars universe is a strong possibility.
While Respawn Entertainment is also working on the third installment in their Star Wars Jedi series, its presence at Star Wars Celebration 2025 is unconfirmed. It's worth noting that Respawn previously canceled an untitled first-person shooter featuring a Mandalorian protagonist, and more recently, a multiplayer first-person shooter incubation project, as part of a major EA restructuring.
Other highlights at Star Wars Celebration include a sneak peek at The Mandalorian & Grogu movie (May 2026 release) and a first look at Star Wars: Visions Volume 3.
