HoYoverse's Tears of Themis unveils its latest update: the Ballad of the Dunes, a captivating collaboration with Gansu Province's Culture & Tourism. This exciting crossover seamlessly blends the game's signature detective elements with the rich cultural heritage of Dunhuang, a historic city bordering the Gobi Desert.
Ballad of the Dunes: A Journey Through Time
This event immerses players in a world of history, romance, and mystery, evoking the atmosphere of the ancient Silk Road. New additions to Tears of Themis include:
Four New MR Cards: Featuring Luke, Artem, Vyn, and Marius, each card showcases Dunhuang's cultural artistry, from graceful apsaras to intricate murals and the traditional pipa. The designs draw inspiration from the Mogao Caves and reflect the diverse artistic influences of the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC–8 AD).
Unique Card Stories: Each MR card—Luke's "In the Footsteps of Silk," Artem's "Serenade of the Soul," Vyn's "Reverberation Through Time," and Marius's "Void of Creation"—offers a distinct narrative, enriched by Private Messages that delve into a thousand-year-old journey.
Here's a sneak peek at the event:
Event Rewards: A Treasure Trove of Prizes
From February 13th to February 20th, 2025, players can earn Camel Bells, S-Chips, and other rewards by completing event tasks. The core gameplay involves a cell-flipping board game, revealing prizes with each successful flip.
The grand prize? A choice of one of the four Ballad of the Dunes MR cards! Flipping 100 cells unlocks the exclusive Celebration – Dunes Namecard.
