Tingle's Creator Picks His Ideal Actor for the Upcoming Zelda Movie

The highly anticipated Legend of Zelda live-action film has sparked much speculation. While casting for Link and Zelda dominates headlines, the question of who will portray the eccentric Tingle remains. Takaya Imamura, Tingle's creator, recently shared his top choice for the role.

Forget Jason Momoa or Jack Black – Imamura's pick is Masi Oka, renowned for his role as Hiro Nakamura in the TV series Heroes. In an interview with VGC, Imamura stated, "Masi Oka. You know the TV series Heroes? The Japanese character who goes ‘yatta!’, I’d like him to do it."

Oka's performance as Hiro, known for its comedic timing and infectious energy, aligns perfectly with Tingle's personality. The similarity between Hiro's signature "yatta!" pose and Tingle's poses in various artwork further strengthens this casting suggestion. Oka's diverse filmography, ranging from action films like Bullet Train and The Meg to the critically acclaimed Hawaii Five-O, showcases his versatility.
