Ubisoft will unveil two hours of gameplay from Assassin's Creed Shadows tomorrow

Get ready for a closer look at Assassin's Creed Shadows! Ubisoft will host a livestream showcasing the game's captivating world and thrilling gameplay. Viewers will witness protagonists Naoe and Yasuke embarking on quests, exploring the vibrant Harima Province, and confronting formidable foes. The development team will also be on hand to answer questions, offering insights into their creative process and the evolution of this latest installment.

Set in feudal Japan, Assassin's Creed Shadows plunges players into a world of political intrigue and samurai conflict. Originally slated for a March 20, 2025 release, the game has been delayed to address historical inaccuracies and enhance overall polish. While rumors circulated about Yasuke's potential removal from the narrative, insider Tom Henderson clarifies that his role will be adjusted, not eliminated.

The postponement, according to Henderson's sources, stems from several factors. The late integration of historical consultants and internal communication issues significantly impacted development. Furthermore, the game's technical state necessitates further bug fixing and gameplay refinements, with the latter requiring a more extended development period. Despite the delay, Henderson's sources remain confident in a Valentine's Day release, February 14th, stating that the development team has sufficient time to finalize the game.
