Recent leaks suggest a significant Ubisoft presence on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. While Nintendo remains tight-lipped about the console's official release, whispers point to a launch window brimming with Ubisoft titles. This isn't surprising, given Ubisoft's long history of supporting Nintendo platforms, including past timed exclusives and collaborative projects.
According to prominent leaker Nate the Hate, Ubisoft is planning a substantial Switch 2 portfolio. His claims include a launch window release for Assassin's Creed Mirage, with Assassin's Creed Shadows following later. Further fueling speculation, other Ubisoft titles like Rainbow Six Siege, The Division, and potentially a bundled Mario + Rabbids collection (Kingdom Battle and Sparks of Hope) are also rumored. Nate the Hate anticipates "more than half a dozen" Ubisoft games on the Switch 2, primarily ports of existing titles.
Potential Ubisoft Switch 2 Titles:
This isn't the first hint of Ubisoft's Switch 2 ambitions. A previous leak from last year mentioned multiple Assassin's Creed titles, including Mirage, Shadows, Valhalla, Odyssey, and Origins.
It's important to note the Switch 2's backward compatibility, instantly granting access to a vast library of Ubisoft games. However, these new releases, particularly the Assassin's Creed titles, would significantly enhance the Switch 2's appeal for fans seeking portable AAA experiences.
Given Ubisoft's robust support for the Wii U and the anticipated success of the Switch 2, these rumors seem plausible. A strong showing on Nintendo's next console is a logical strategy for any major publisher.
