Acquiring the Type-40 Sword

The Type-40 sword is the reward for completing the side quest "Find a Present," the culmination of a questline involving Operator 6O. Unlocking it requires finishing two preceding quests. Here's a step-by-step guide, including chapter selections for those utilizing Chapter Select:

Post-Chapter 5: After defeating Adam and Eve in Chapter 5, you'll receive a call from Operator 6O. This "Investigating Communications" message is easily missed, so act promptly.
Chapter 6 & 7 Progression: Complete Chapter 6 (Forest Castle events) and proceed to Chapter 7.
"Terminal Repairs": After speaking with Pascal about A2 and exploring the city ruins, Operator 6O will contact you again, instructing you to check your inbox at an access point to initiate the "Terminal Repairs" quest.
"Find a Present": While returning to the Resistance Camp during Chapter 7, a final call from Operator 6O regarding flowers will lead to another inbox message initiating the "Find a Present" quest.
Reward: Completing "Find a Present" delivers the Type-40 Sword to your inbox.

Type-40 Sword Stats & Upgrades

At level 1, the Type-40 Sword executes a 5-hit light attack combo and a 3-hit heavy attack combo. Upgrading it to level 4 increases the light attack combo to 7 hits and enhances its effectiveness against stunned enemies. Titanium Alloy is needed for these upgrades.
