Get ready, Call of Duty: Warzone players! The highly anticipated return of the beloved Verdansk map is almost here. March 10th, 2025, marks the date, according to a countdown timer spotted on the official Call of Duty shop (thanks, InsiderGaming). Activision initially hinted at Verdansk's comeback last August, promising a Spring 2025 release, but now we have a concrete date.
A teaser image on the shop features a nostalgic alpine scene—snow, pine trees, a dam, and a crashed plane—evoking memories of the original Verdansk map before its 2021 replacement by Caldera. Currently, the only way to experience this classic map is through Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. This announcement is a thrilling surprise for fans, especially considering the 2021 statement declaring Verdansk's permanent removal.
Meanwhile, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 has launched, bringing five new multiplayer maps (Bounty, Dealership, Lifeline, Bullet, and Grind), the return of Gun Game mode, new weapons, operators, and a pricey Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover. Warzone, however, has received less content than initially planned as the development team focuses on resolving critical issues, including gameplay balancing, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements.
