Bam Margera to Feature in THPS 3+4 Following Tony Hawk's Insistence

by Liam May 20,2025

Bam Margera, the renowned former professional skateboarder and Jackass star, is set to make a surprising return to the lineup of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4. Despite not being included in the initial roster announcement for the upcoming game, recent reports confirm Margera will indeed feature in the final release.

This exciting news was shared by skateboarding media veteran Roger Bagley during an exclusive members-only livestream of The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle. Bagley revealed that the game was "already done" when Tony Hawk personally intervened, reaching out to Activision to request Margera's inclusion. Although initially told it was not possible, Hawk's persistence paid off, ensuring Margera's spot in the game.

IGN has reached out to Activision for further comment on this development.

Margera's journey has been marked by public struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, leading to multiple rehab visits and his dismissal from the Jackass Forever project. Additionally, a restraining order was issued against him by Jackass director Jeff Tremaine following alleged threats to Tremaine and his family.

Adding to the buzz, Hawk and Margera recently shared a video of themselves skateboarding together, sparking initial rumors about Margera's potential return to the game.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, announced earlier this month, is slated for release on July 11, 2025. The game will be available across multiple platforms including PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by Iron Galaxy, the project has overcome significant challenges, including nearly being scrapped following the merger of the original developer, Vicarious Visions, with Blizzard.
