Codenames, the popular spy-themed board game, is now available as a digital app! This adaptation of Vlaada Chvátil's classic, published by CGE Digital, brings the thrilling word association gameplay to your mobile device.
What is Codenames?
In Codenames, players decipher secret agent identities hidden behind code names. Working as a team, you receive one-word clues from your spymaster to identify your agents, while avoiding innocent bystanders and, most importantly, the assassin. This multiplayer game pits two teams against each other in a test of deduction and clever wordplay. The challenge lies in interpreting subtle clues and outsmarting your opponents.
The app version introduces fresh words, exciting game modes, and unlockable achievements. A career mode allows players to level up, earn rewards, and collect special gadgets. The asynchronous multiplayer feature lets you play multiple games simultaneously, compete with global players, and tackle daily solo challenges. Each player has up to 24 hours to make their move.

The Guessing Game Continues!
The digital version maintains the core gameplay: tap the cards you believe hide your agents. Correct guesses reveal identities, but selecting the assassin means instant defeat for your team. Managing multiple games adds another layer of strategic complexity. As your skills improve, you'll eventually take on the role of spymaster, crafting the cryptic clues.
Ready to test your spy skills and word association prowess? Download Codenames from the Google Play Store for $4.99.
