State of Decay 3 is unlikely to come out before 2026

Gaming insider Jez Corden, on the latest Xbox Two podcast, predicted a 2026 release for State of Decay 3. While Undead Labs initially aimed for a 2025 launch, Corden suggests an early 2026 debut is now more likely.

He assures fans that development is further along than publicly perceived, though specifics remain undisclosed. This news may disappoint some, but it's a more positive outlook than previous estimations pointing to a 2027 release.

June's trailer showcased intense zombie gunfights and Mad Max-style vehicular combat in a post-apocalyptic setting. The game's narrative will focus on human settlements fighting for survival years after the apocalypse.

State of Decay 3 is slated for PC and Xbox Series X|S release. The last installment launched in 2018.
