Boss fights in video games can be incredibly challenging, especially when you're not fully prepared. In *The First Berserker: Khazan*, boss battles come with their fair share of surprises and complexities. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to conquer the Blade Phantom in *The First Berserker: Khazan*.

The ghostly voices that have been haunting Khazan will materialize as the formidable Blade Phantom in the Trials of the Frozen Mountain level on Stormpass. This boss is a true test of your stamina management and ability to counter relentless attacks. It's the first multi-phase boss you'll encounter, making the battle even more challenging.
As the fight begins, you'll find yourself in a castle with floors flooded with a crimson liquid. The Blade Phantom employs several attacks:
In addition to these melee attacks, the Blade Phantom can summon a giant hammer in *The First Berserker: Khazan* that it slams down, causing red spikes to emerge in front of it. If it uses a spear, be prepared for a quick throw followed by a teleporting smash that you need to avoid. When wielding a blade, the boss unleashes a swift six-hit combo. It can also vanish and dash around the battlefield before launching an attack.
Mastering the timing of these attacks is crucial. By parrying or dodging effectively, you can find openings to attack and deplete its stamina for a Brutal Attack. Continue this strategy until you reduce its health by about half, which will trigger the second phase.

In the second phase, the Blade Phantom initiates with four claw attacks, followed by a spear throw from above. After the spear lands, avoid the affected area and prepare for a leaping swipe. This is followed by three greatsword slashes and a concluding hammer smash.
While retaining most of its earlier attacks, the Blade Phantom introduces new moves like claw attacks, a spear thrust and follow-up, and four to six swift dual-wielding attacks. It also teleports more frequently. When wielding the greatsword, be alert for multiple slashes and the final Burst Attack, indicated by a red P-like symbol on the screen. Use the Counterattack (L1/LB + Circle/B) to parry this successfully, which not only restores your stamina but also leaves the boss vulnerable to further attacks.
Ensure you capitalize on opportunities when the Blade Phantom's stamina is depleted. Initiate the Brutal Attack just as the window is about to close to maximize damage and secure victory. Your rewards for defeating this boss include 8,640 Lacrima, Soul Eater gear items, a Shieldsman’s Ring, and Netherworld Mineral for crafting.
